Another successful series of presentations to our London client as week 2 and the California leg of our course comes to a close. We arrived at 9am to prepare, presentations started at 9:30 and ended around 10 with feedback from 2 of our London area collaborators along with Professor Ron Leland.
The technology did not work flawlessly, yet it is amazing that we can be talking simultaneously to someone outside of London, someone in London, someone in the greater OC area, and 19 folks in a windowless room at Chapman.
Comments from our client included: "three really good presentations" "excellent graphics" yet they encourage us in the weeks to come as we learn more to "dig deeper" and think about what a city of 2030 will be like. What guidelines can we come up with for "must haves" to attract a diverse international labor force to a region of the world that has summers where temperatures reach 140 degrees and is a desert.
Time to pack and get ready for the long trip tomorrow. The blog posts should resume on Sunday evening GMT time.

It was very warm today, the ride home in the car revealed that the outside temp in the Orange/Tustin area was over 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, our course shirts arrived. One is cool and one is not.
